Google Ads from Gemini CLI
Configure PaidHelm as an MCP server in Gemini CLI settings.json and manage Google Ads from Google's own terminal agent.
Gemini CLI supports MCP servers over HTTP with OAuth. Add PaidHelm and run Google Ads operations from the same terminal session where you work.
Setup
Edit ~/.gemini/settings.json (or the project's .gemini/settings.json):
{
"mcpServers": {
"paidhelm": {
"httpUrl": "https://mcp.paidhelm.com/googleads/mcp"
}
}
}
Start Gemini CLI and run /mcp to see the server; authenticate when prompted and the tool list appears.
Try
List my Google Ads accounts and summarize yesterday's spend for each.
For campaign 123, find search terms with no conversions and more than $25 spent this month. Show me before adding negatives.
Notes
- Use
httpUrlfor Streamable HTTP;urlis for SSE servers. /mcp auth paidhelmre-runs authentication if a token expires.
Put PaidHelm on your own account.
