Google Ads inside Windsurf

Configure PaidHelm in Windsurf's mcp_config.json and let Cascade run Google Ads reports and campaign changes next to your code.

Windsurf's Cascade agent supports remote MCP servers. Add PaidHelm once and Google Ads becomes a tool Cascade can use while you work.

Setup

Edit ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json (or open Windsurf Settings → Cascade → MCP servers → Add custom server):

Refresh the MCP list. On first tool use Windsurf opens Google's consent screen.

Try

Show last week's spend and conversions by campaign for account 123-456-7890 as a Markdown table.
Read ads/negatives.txt and add each line as a phrase negative to campaign 987. Confirm the list first.

Troubleshooting

  • Use serverUrl (not url) for remote servers in Windsurf.
  • If authentication does not start, remove and re-add the server, then trigger a tool.
